Day 1

Montréal/Casablanca

Departure from Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport with Royal Air Maroc to Casablanca. Meals served on board.

Day 2

Casablanca (30 km)

Transfer from Mohammed-V Airport in Casablanca to a choice restaurant to enjoy a meal of Moroccan specialities. After dinner, you will visit the interior and exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, a jewel of Moroccan architectural heritage. Then, on the way to your hotel, you will have the opportunity to visit the United Nations Square, Mohammed V Boulevard, the Anfa district and the Aïn Diab cornice. Supper and accommodation at the hotel. Night in CASABLANCA in a 4* hotel.

Day 3

Casablanca/El Jadida/El Oualidia/ Essaouira (386 km)

After breakfast, departure for Essaouira via El Jadida, a coastal city in Morocco. This fortified city was built by the Portuguese in the early 16th century and named Mazagan (Mazagão in Portuguese) and was taken by Moroccans in 1769. You will discover its fortifications with their bastions and their ramparts. Visits to the Portuguese cisterns. Dinner in El Oualidia, an oyster paradise. Continue towards Essaouira. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Night in ESSAOUIRA in a 4* hotel.

Day 4

Essaouira/Marrakech (191 km)

In the early morning, departure on foot to visit Essaouira. Formerly called Mogador, located on the Atlantic coast, its history dates back to the 7th century BC. and is the famous location of Orson Welles’ 1949 movie, Othello. You will have a guided tour of the port and Skala, the old medina and its souks, the craft school, the consulate district and the Jewish quarter, Mellah. Dinner in the medina. Continue towards Marrakech to finish the day on the large balcony of the Glacier Café to see the sunset at Place Jemaa el-Fna. Supper and accommodation at the hotel. Night in MARRAKECH in a 4* hotel.

Day 5

Marrakech

A day dedicated to visiting Marrakech. This guided tour is designed to offer a first contact with the old city of Marrakech and give you some historical points of reference. Our guide will introduce you to the history of Marrakech, its foundation and nearly one thousand years of history. You will visit the Bahia Palace, the Museum of Marrakech, and then end with a visit to the Koutoubia and its minaret. After dinner, visit the Yves St-Laurent Museum. You will continue your afternoon with a visit to Jemaa el-Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where there is incredible spontaneous entertainment. Your guide will help you discover the souks and their trades such as carpenters, babouche makers and dyers. Return to the hotel. Fantasia super show at Chez Ali. Night in MARRAKECH at the 4* hotel.

Day 6

Marrakech/Aït-Ben-Haddou/Ouarzazate/ Tamnougalt/Zagora (382 km)

Early in the morning, departure for Aït-Ben-Haddou crossing the High Atlas via Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m altitude). Visit of the Kasbah Aït-Ben-Haddou, a fortified city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its buildings made of rammed earth, a mixture of straw, have long served as filming locations. Dinner in the commune of Aït-Ben-Haddou. In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to Ouarzazate, the city south of the mountains of the Moroccan High Atlas, known as the Gateway to the Sahara Desert. Small city tour with photo stop in front of the Kasbah of Taourirt, housing a 19th century palace. Visit of the cinema museum. Departure for Zagora via Tamnougalt. Break in the Kasbah of the Caïds. Continue towards Zagora. Dinner and accommodation in a charming palace. Night in ZAGORA in a 4* palace.

Day 7

Zagora/Alnif/Merzouga (306 km)

In the early morning, city tour in Zagora located in the Draa-Tafilalet region in southern Morocco. It is surrounded by a few ancient Kasbahs around which shepherds lead their sheep. The desert is close by and the landscape takes on a mineral splendour whose brilliance reflects on the buildings. Visit to the Tamegroute Library which houses precious scientific treatises and religious books dating back to the Andalusian golden age. Visit of the Tamegroute pottery makers, the only rural pottery works in Morocco to display green enamel. This characteristic is native to Fez. Dinner in Alnif and continue towards Merzouga. Arrival at the hotel and departure by camelback through the sand dunes. Photo stop to capture the sunset. Set up and accommodation in the camp, under nomadic tents. Supper followed by a lively evening with campfire and songs of the Sahara. BIVOUAC in a 3* Royal tent.

Day 8

Merzouga/Eerfoud/Boumalne Dadès (247 km)

Before sunrise, take a stroll on the dunes to enjoy a magnificent view of the sunrise (optional). After breakfast, you will return to the hotel on camelback. Your driver will be waiting to drive you to Boumalne Dadès via Erfoud, cradle of the Alawite dynasty. Visit of Erfoud’s treasure, marine fossils, some of which date back several hundred million years. Afterwards, visit the La Foggara irrigation system. Dinner at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Todra Valley and its gorges. Continue towards Boumalne Dadès. Supper and accommodation in a Kasbah. Night in BOUMALNE DADÈS in a 4* Kasbah.

Day 9

Boumalne Dadès/Kelaat-M’Gouna/ Taliouine/Taroudant/Agadir (494 km)

Breakfast on the terrace with panoramic view. You will then leave Boumalne Dadès for a visit to the gorges of the Dades Valley. You will continue your journey by crossing the Valley of Roses. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to cross Tazenakht via Jbel Siroua and the Tizi-n-Taghatin pass at an altitude of 1700m. Arrival in Taliouine, a city famous for its production of saffron, the most expensive spice in the world. Visit of the Maison du Saffron. Saffron dinner with saffron tea. You will continue on to Taroudant, an old capital located in the Souss plain which resembles its big sister Marrakech with its beautiful ramparts and souks. Quick tour of the city and visit of the souk. Continue towards Agadir. Supper and accommodation at the hotel. Night in AGADIR in a 4* hotel.

Day 10

Agadir

In the late morning, visit Agadir and the ruins of the Kasbah located at the top of the Agadir Oufella mountain. A splendid and panoramic view of the entire city awaits you. Afterwards, you will pass through the newly rebuilt city and its neighbourhoods. Stop in front of the largest mosque. Guided tour in the great souk El Ahad. Dinner at the hotel. Afternoon free to enjoy a volleyball activity at the beach. Supper at the hotel. Night in AGADIR in a 4* hotel.

Day 11

Agadir/Casablanca/Montréal

Breakfast and transfer according to your flight back to Agadir-Al Massira Airport. (21 km).
